Hi friends, I have had some time lately to create my own paintings. Here is one that I will be leaving here. It started out as a image for a line Joanna Newsom's song "Monkey and Bear", but has since taken on a life of it's own.
He stands in the way of its luminescence, the light, now a burden to carry. Its gift to him shows his way and his path but his arms have grown far too weary. A sidelong glance cast where the glow now still reaches, but the warmth reminds him not to tarry. The shadows remain but his eyes have adjusted and the darkness seems not at all scary. But wither within for the signs of his sin need to make him all the more wary.

Deep in the night
Shone a weak and miserly light
Where the monkey shouldered his lamp
Hey Loookummmmpppss!
Awesome painting. I love the golden light and black shadows.

Really enjoyable piece. Great solom feeling, good use of light and shade, as well as strong unity of color, all amounts to great piece, good work!
